Amar Rewari , Chief of Radiation Oncology at Luminis Health, shared on LinkedIn : “ Just because we can adapt a radiation treatment plan every day, does that mean we should? That was one of the central questions in today’s panel on Automated Adaptive Radiotherapy at Association for Value-Based Cancer Care .

As technology advances, we’re moving toward a world where radiation treatment plans can be adjusted in real time to account for changes in patient anatomy. The potential to improve precision, reduce toxicity, and personalize treatment is exciting. But important questions remain.

Which patients benefit most? How do we demonstrate meaningful improvements in outcomes? What are the implications for clinical workflows, staffing, costs, and reimbursement?

And how do we ensure these advances are accessible beyond a handful of well-resourced centers? Great discussion with fellow panelists Anthony Paravati and Erika Chin , expertly moderated by Join Luh . Special thank you to Burt Zweigenhaft for putting this amazing conference together and inviting me to be a part of the discussion.

The next frontier in radiation oncology isn’t simply about what technology makes possible. It’s about translating that innovation into better, more accessible cancer care. ” Learn more about this topic: Fabio Ynoe de Moraes: AI in Radiotherapy and Oncology — Weekly Evidence Brief Stay Informed Subscribe to OncoDaily Newsletter Don't miss the latest news in oncology: stay up to date with daily picks from OncoDaily.
