The bitter feud between NBL rivals Bryce Cotton and Kendric Davis has exploded once again, with things spilling over to social media. Cotton and Davis have plenty of history together and came head-to-head multiple times on Sunday night, as the Sydney Kings went down 84-78 on their home court against the Adelaide 36ers in a fiery clash at Afterpay Arena.

They talked it down pre-game, we doubted that and [this is] a flash point,” Matt Russell said in commentary for ESPN. Cotton, the league’s best player and six-time MVP winner, shrugged off the heated altercation when asked post-game what was said between the two. “I don’t know – sometimes people got me marked on their calendar,” he said.

“I’m quiet until you’ve got something to say and everybody knows how I get down, I’ve been doing this for years.” Davis saw it a little bit differently and was more than happy to keep the feud boiling over, posting on his Twitter account on Sunday night. “Wait to game over and call me out my name then play victim like he always do,” Davis, an NBL champion with the Kings last season, said.

“King of throwing rocks and hiding his hand. Ion [I don’t] fw [f--k with] dude, he [is a] political genius behind scenes he does a lot of fake shit. “I’m me win, lose or draw.

See you Dec 13. That trophy in Sydney for now though.” Kings coach Brian Goorjian believes the ongoing rivalry between the pair is a positive for the Australian competition. “I think our sport needs it,” he said post-game.
