Health authorities have urged parents to ensure that their daughters aged 9 to 14 years receive vaccination against human papillomavirus (HPV) during an upcoming immunization campaign across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The campaign will run from Wednesday until the 24th of this month and aims to protect adolescent girls against HPV, the primary cause of cervical cancer, through the administration of a safe and effective vaccine.

Parents seeking further information about the vaccination drive and related services have been advised to contact the Sehat Tahaffuz helpline at 1166. They said the initiative is part of ongoing efforts to strengthen preventive healthcare and raise awareness about cervical cancer, which remains a major public health concern among women.
