Visa-free stays have also been reduced from 60 to 30 days for eligible nationalities. Authorities say the changes are intended to improve border security while maintaining access for genuine tourists. Travellers from 60 countries can enter Thailand visa-free for 30 days, with a possible 30-day extension costing 1,900 baht.
Land border entries are generally limited to twice annually, with exceptions for certain nationalities. Visitors must complete a digital arrival card within 72 hours before arrival and provide proof of accommodation, onward travel and sufficient funds.
