ElevenLabs Adds Direct SoundCloud Publishing, Bypassing the Download Step

ElevenLabs now lets users publish ElevenMusic tracks directly to SoundCloud, eliminating the need to download files and re-upload them. Songs sent through the integration are tagged as AI-generated. SoundCloud Artist Pro subscribers receive three free months of ElevenMusic Pro, a tier offering up to 1,000 songs, 500 stem splits and five custom styles monthly. The arrangement is less extensive than SoundCloud's earlier Moises deal, which supports two-way stem separation and remixing. ElevenLabs says more than 25 million tracks have been made with its models. SoundCloud has been the most accommodating major service toward generative music, while Deezer and Bandcamp have moved to filter or ban it.

ElevenLabs said Thursday that tracks made with its ElevenMusic generation platform can now be published straight to SoundCloud, removing the export-and-upload step that previously stood between a prompt and a public release. Songs arriving this way will carry a label identifying them as AI-generated.

SoundCloud Artist Pro subscribers get three months of ElevenMusic Pro at no charge as part of the arrangement. That tier allows up to 1,000 generated songs a month, 500 stem splits and five custom styles or vocals, according to TechCrunch. The tie-up is looser than the one SoundCloud struck with Moises earlier this year, which lets users pull tracks off SoundCloud into Moises for stem separation and remixing and then push the results back to the platform.

The new integration runs in one direction only. ElevenLabs has been building out its music stack at a quick clip. It released a music-generation model in 2025, a consumer app for prompt-based song creation in April 2026, and a month later a model able to shift genres mid-track and handle more demanding vocals.

The company says users have produced more than 25 million tracks with its models to date. "SoundCloud has always been a place where artists experiment, push boundaries, and turn creative ideas into something bigger," SoundCloud CEO Eliah Seton said in a statement. He described the company as the first platform to carry ElevenMusic creations to listeners outside ElevenLabs' own ecosystem.

SoundCloud has positioned itself as the most receptive major audio service to generative music. It asks users covered by EU rules to mark tracks as AI-generated or manipulated and prohibits impersonation, but it has signed with several generative music companies, including Google Flow Music and the remix tool Hook, and has not made a habit of publicizing takedowns or demonetization of AI uploads.

ElevenLabs also supplies audio models to Spotify, where authors can generate audiobook narration for publication on the service. Spotify has reached agreements with record labels on AI remixing products but has not named model partners of ElevenLabs' kind. Much of the rest of the industry is moving the other way.

Deezer is rolling out a switch that filters AI music out entirely, and Bandcamp has banned AI-generated tracks outright. Spotify and YouTube have taken a more cautious line on labeling. For artists and rights holders, the practical effect is a lower barrier to flooding catalogs with machine-made tracks, and a labeling regime that puts the disclosure burden on the uploader rather than the platform.
