The two-day conference is jointly organised by the School of Chemistry and the School of Energy, Environment and Natural Resources, Madurai Kamaraj University, in association with Materials Research Society of India (MRSI), Tiruchi Chapter. The event features around 200 oral and poster presentations, three plenary lectures, nine invited lectures, seven MRSI awardee presentations and two industry-sponsored lectures.
There are six exhibition stalls showcasing advanced materials, scientific instruments and related technologies further promoting industry–academia interaction. Over 300 participants from India and abroad are attending the event, bringing together scientists, academicians, industry professionals and students to discuss advances in high-entropy alloys, functional materials, sustainable energy, environmental protection, catalysis and emerging technologies.
The conference provides a platform for scientific exchange, interdisciplinary collaboration and industry engagement while offering young researchers valuable opportunities to interact with eminent scientists and explore emerging research directions. Chairman and Secretary of MRSI Tiruchi Chapter S.
Arumugam delivered the inaugural address. A souvenir was released at the conference. MRSI Awards in various categories, including the Young Scientist Award, Woman Scientist Award, Outstanding Researcher Award, Senior Scientist Award and Lifetime Achievement Award were presented.
The inaugural session also featured addresses by Aravind Kumar Chandiran, IIT, Chennai; Sudip Kumar Batabyal, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetam; and Mohammad Ansari of Universiti Tenaga Nasional, Malaysia. Madurai Kamaraj University Registrar Muthiah delivered the presidential address. Head of the Department of Materials Science Annaraj welcomed the gathering.
