The camp is home to members of the Democratic Party of Iranian Kurdistan (KDP-I) and their families. Since the beginning of the war between Iran, the United States, and Israel, the camp has been targeted dozens of times by drone and missile attacks. Other Rojhilat parties and their facilities in southern Kurdistan have also repeatedly been targeted by Iranian drone and missile strikes.
Bases and camps belonging to the Komala factions and Sazmanî Xebat have been particularly affected.
