Stay with us as we bring you a recap of the key lines shortly. Zelensky says military intelligence on strikes 'works now', thanking US published at 18:42 BST Image source, Reuters Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky then says he is "thankful" to the US as intelligence on Russian strikes "works now".

He adds that early warning systems are important to the Ukrainian people and says "we are thankful to American side now it works, it is great". The US has previously denied limiting intelligence sharing. European leaders asked why US special envoy is not at news conference published at 18:36 BST A question is asked about why special envoy Steve Witkoff is not present, to which Norwegian PM Jonas Gahr Støre says the news conference is for political leaders.

He then says "Europe needs to be at the table" for the peace process between Russia and Ukraine. "To achieve a lasting and fair peace, we need an equation of US, Ukraine, Russia and Europe," he says. Støre adds that he and Finnish President Alexander Stubb do not speak on behalf of Europe and they will be meeting with European colleagues, saying that the continent will "live with the consequences" of the conflict.

Stubb says he and Støre "work very much in the back office" as Europeans and supporters of Ukraine. "It's very important that the American negotiators and President Trump stay engaged," the Finnish president adds. We're not losing the war, but we are losing people - Zelensky published at 18:27 BST Image source, Reuters Zelensky has been asked by reporters what his analysis is after the talks today.

He responds by saying Ukraine wants to push as quickly as possible to end this war, and that they are ready for negotiations. "Of course, we are not losing this war, but we are losing people because Russia attacks," he says, adding that he hopes their partners - including the US - will help them in ending the war.

The European leaders have now ended their press conference, but we'll still be bringing you a few more updates on what they've been saying. 'Genuine progress' made in talks, says Finland president published at 18:23 BST Image source, Reuters Finnish President Alexander Stubb is up next.

He says those present at the talks made "genuine progress" on two levels: in the "big picture" and the "short-term". He says they "found some elements of peace" in the big picture, and those ideas will be taken to St Petersburg tomorrow, as well as key elements on security and the economy.

In the short-term, he says they discussed air defence, energy installations and partial ceasefires, adding that he feels the leaders are "on the same page". "In my experience, peace requires patience. But unfortunately war does not wait.

People are dying every and each day... I think today was a step in the right direction," he adds. Now the leaders are moving on to questions from reporters.

Let's see what Putin has to say - Zelensky published at 18:19 BST Zelensky continues by saying Ukraine "immediately" supported the US proposal for an energy ceasefire, but Russia "responded by continuing its attacks". He says he wants US representatives to take ideas discussed for a potential peaceful solution to the Russians.

The Ukrainian president says one of the ideas is to move towards a potential trilateral meeting between leaders. He adds that Witkoff is going to Russia tomorrow: "Let's see what Putin has to say." Zelensky finishes his remarks by thanking everyone who stands with Ukraine and peace.

Zelensky says he had a 'good conversation' with Marco Rubio published at 18:18 BST Image source, Reuters We're now hearing from Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky, and he begins by saying it's "important that we keep talking at all levels, and work together on decisions needed to end this war".

He says he has been holding "important talks" with Ukraine's partners in the US and Europe. Zelensky confirms he had a "good conversation" with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio - and says he appreciated his willingness to help and find solutions to the issues faced by Ukraine. Ukraine wants peace more than anyone, Zelensky says, and the decision to keep the killing going, is Russia's choice, and Russia's alone.

Ukraine's security and territory discussed, says Norwegian PM published at 18:13 BST Støre continues and says US special envoy Steve Witkoff will fly tomorrow to St Petersburg in Russia, to meet with the Russian leadership and "exchange ideas" from today's meeting and the proposals that have been discussed.

He adds this could "possibly pave the way for a meeting at leaders level", and says that the issues spoken about today include Ukraine's security, a prosperity plan after the war, territory and sanctions. Today's talks were 'good and constructive' - Norway PM published at 18:10 BST Image source, Reuters Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre begins the news conference by saying Norway is supporting Ukraine's "legitimate defence against military aggression".

He also thanks Finnish President Alexander Stubb for his work, saying he and the president are "like-minded". Trump and Zelensky's strained relationship published at 17:58 BST Jack Grey Live reporter Image source, Getty Images It has been turbulent at times between the US and Ukrainian presidents, however relations have been especially strained in recent weeks. Earlier this month, Trump proclaimed "it's time for Ukraine to get a new president" , responding to criticism from Zelensky over the US diesel deal with Russia.

Trump announced that Vladimir Putin had agreed to release 300,000 tonnes of diesel immediately "to the American and global marketplace" - which was branded by Zelensky as a "gift" to the Russian president. Speaking to reporters at the time, the US president said Zelensky "wants to make problems for the world" by attacking Russian refineries, adding that he "better damn well stop".

The row deepened last week when Trump waived numerous sanctions on Russia , which Zelensky said would have "helped enormously", days before they were due to take effect Since then, Ukraine's president declared it was nice to be among "real leaders" while addressing an EU summit, after Trump said Zelensky was "more difficult to deal with" than Putin.

Zelensky due to speak after talks with US special envoy Witkoff published at 17:54 BST Image source, Reuters Image caption, US special envoy Steve Witkoff hugged Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky before the Oslo talks began Volodymyr Zelensky and Donald Trump's special envoy, Steve Witkoff, have met in Oslo today during what has been described as "a critical time for Ukraine" by Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre.

Støre said Zelensky requested Norway and Finland to organise talks between European allies and the US after relations between Kyiv and Washington began to sour in recent weeks. Trump said earlier this month it's time for Ukraine to get a new president following Zelensky's criticism of a US diesel deal with Russia.

Meanwhile, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio today rejected as "scandalous" accusations that Ukrainians were dying because the US was withholding intelligence from Kyiv. Støre said the aim of the Oslo talks was to steer relations towards "a more constructive path", while Zelensky said earlier he had a "constructive discussion" with Rubio about the need for US early warnings, missile interceptors and SpaceX's Starlink network.

We're expecting to hear from President Zelensky, PM Støre and Finnish President Alexander Stubb later, so stick with us as we bring you the key updates.
