Parly’s ad hoc committee wraps up draft report deliberations

Parliament’s ad hoc committee investigating allegations made by KwaZulu-Natal Police Commissioner Lieutenant-General Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi has concluded its submissions on its draft report.

CAPE TOWN - Parliament’s ad hoc committee investigating allegations made by KwaZulu-Natal Police Commissioner Lieutenant-General Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi has concluded its deliberations on its draft report. The committee, which has now received its sixth extension, is working towards a 30 October deadline to finalise its work.

Parliament has confirmed that MPs have been deliberating on the draft report in recent weeks, with several contentious issues coming back into focus. These include allegations concerning Vusimuzi “Cat” Matlala’s alleged cash payments to former Police Minister Bheki Cele, the non-appearance of former Crime Intelligence boss Feroz Khan, and the circumstances surrounding MP Fadiel Adams’ access to classified information.
