Irrigation minister Uttam Kumar Reddy Hyderabad: Irrigation and civil supplies minister N Uttam Kumar Reddy invited Swiss companies to invest in Telangana , assuring them of skilled manpower, talented young professionals and strong govt support as the state seeks to deepen economic ties with Switzerland and attract investments in technology-intensive industries.
A high-level Swiss delegation led by Helene Budliger Artieda, state secretary for economic affairs, visited Hyderabad on Friday to explore investment opportunities and partnerships in life sciences, AI, aerospace, startups and advanced manufacturing ahead of Invest Telangana Global Summit 2026, scheduled at Bharat Future City from Dec 7–9.

The delegation attended a business interaction hosted at Taj Falaknuma Palace by IT and industries minister D Sridhar Babu, minister Uttam and tourism minister Jupally Krishna Rao. Chief secretary Sanjay Jaju, senior officials, diplomatic representatives and business leaders from Hyderabad’s technology and Global Capability Centre (GCC) ecosystem also attended.
Addressing the visiting Swiss representatives, Uttam said Telangana offered an attractive environment for Swiss companies seeking to establish or expand their operations in India. The discussions identified vaccines, gene therapy, AI, data centres and precision manufacturing as promising areas for deeper collaboration with Telangana and Switzerland.
Both sides explored opportunities to connect their business, research and innovation ecosystems and facilitate partnerships between companies and institutions. Swiss representatives expressed particular interest in linking Telangana’s established strengths in vaccines and life sciences with Switzerland’s advanced research capabilities.
AI-powered services, data centres and specialised manufacturing also featured prominently in the discussions.
