Leader of the opposition in Haryana assembly Bhupendra Singh Hooda at the grain market in Hisar on Friday Hisar : Leader of the opposition in the Haryana assembly, Bhupinder Singh Hooda , on Friday alleged that the BJP was resorting to “authoritarian tactics” to suppress the opposition’s agitation against “vote theft”.

Hooda said the Congress and INDIA bloc would continue their protest until Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar resigns, adding that the agitation would intensify the longer he remains in office. The former CM was in Hisar to offer condolences following the death of his maternal aunt.

Hooda also attended social programmes and visited the Uklana grain market, where he interacted with farmers, commission agents and labourers and listened to their grievances. The LoP said farmers told him that in the absence of govt procurement, they were being forced to sell paddy and bajra at prices up to Rs 400 per quintal lower than expected.
