Moffat Mungazi Post Reporter THE Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education has released the 2027 school calendar to enable learning institutions, parents and guardians, learners and other stakeholders to plan for an uninterrupted academic year in an orderly manner. Director of Communications and Advocacy in the Ministry Mr Taungana Ndoro said the calendar outlines opening and closing dates for the respective three terms as well as public holidays.

“The calendar provides the framework for the three school terms, including opening and closing dates, school days and public holidays. It is intended to support orderly planning and effective delivery of the curriculum throughout the year,” he said. The 2027 school calendar Mr Ndoro added that the calendar must be utilised for a productive and successful learning year.
“The Ministry, therefore, urges all schools, parents and guardians to familiarise themselves with the calendar and make the necessary preparations to ensure a smooth start and uninterrupted learning throughout the 2027 academic year. The 2027 School Calendar further provides for the opening of schools on Tuesday, January 12, 2027, with the academic year running across three terms.
